PRESS RELEASE:  24th March 2014

Security expert, Assure Technical, will be exhibiting and speaking at the forthcoming Enterprise Security & Risk Management (ESRM) conference on Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM). The talk will case study a real life example of managing TSCM for the 2012 Olympics.

This prestigious annual event brings together the world’s leading security and risk leaders, and showcases the latest developments and threats facing businesses.

As one of the sponsors of the event, Assure Technical will not only be exhibiting, but giving an introductory talk about Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM) and the need to understand the risks in order to protect the privacy of your information. During this introduction, they will share a case study of their TSCM team’s own experience managing a two year TSCM project for the 2012 Olympics.

Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM) is more commonly known outside the Security industry, as counter-eavesdropping or bug sweeping; it’s the process of electronically and physically inspecting an area – such as an office, home or vehicle, for the presence of electronic eavesdropping or bugging devices.

Peter Rucinski of Assure Technical adds: “It’s a well-known fact that businesses world-wide invest thousands or even millions protecting themselves from hackers and perceived cyber threats, but often fail to protect themselves against the threat of technical surveillance. We enable our clients to take a proactive stance against industrial espionage that results from eavesdropping.”

The common misconception is that it’s low level criminals who are carrying out surveillance resulting incorporate espionage. That’s where the similarity with Hollywood ends and the real world begins. The threat is often coming from highly skilled operators – often government and military trained accomplished experts – using a wide array of state of the art devices as well as readily available commercial off-the-shelf devices.

To combat this threat, businesses will require an equally accomplished expert which is why all Assure Technical’s operators are highly trained and world leaders in their field. They possess British Military experience and have delivered many high profile projects, including the 2012 Olympics. Their knowledge and experience ensure the protection of their client’s privacy, whatever level of threat they face.

The Assure Technical website has been re-launched to coincide with the forthcoming event. The new site details the full scope of their TSCM services which includes:

• TSCM Surveys

• Secured Meetings

• TSCM Corporate Espionage Briefs

• TSCM Training

It also provides information on their wider technical security services, including Procurement and Project support and comprehensive Cyber Security Services.

“We’re a young company based in the Malvern Hills, Worcestershire, with a growing client base.  The ESRM conference will be a great platform from which to demonstrate our knowledge and experience of TSCM, as well as the other world-class services we provide. Conference delegates visiting our stand will have the chance to win a complimentary Corporate Espionage Threat Brief.” Concludes Peter.
